The Scooppiati diversamente band is an integrated musical group composed of differently abled and able-bodied young people, united by a great passion for music. The band was born 10 years ago as an evolution of a path born in the Cooperativa Sociale H-Anno Zero Onlus of Rome which, for over 40 years, has been involved in 360-degree assistance to disabled people.

Through a unique mix of humor and musical talent and with their irreverent and ironic approach to social issues, they have been able to capture the attention of the public and stand out in an extraordinary way. The band has been a guest on several television and radio programs. They have opened concerts by Francesco Pannofino and Enrico Ruggeri , Orchestraccia , Simona Molinari at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. In 2015, the band received the Il Giullare National Award in Trani and, in the same year, released their first EP entitled STORIE DI UN ALTRO MONDO ( Goodfellas ).

They collaborate with important musicians including Riccardo Sinigallia, Daniele Coccia (Muro del Canto), the jazz trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso . The video clip of the single la scatola di legno features the actor Alessandro Benvenuti , and was presented at the Florence Short Film Festival in 2016. The album was officially presented at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Palazzo Chigi, for the cultural/social interest of the project. With Believe Digital they published the singles Essere Normale, Cenere and the second EP PAROLE AL VENTO. Currently the project continues alternating live concerts throughout Italy and with the writing of the next EP together with the Sicilian singer Ketty Giansiracusa , the new voice of the band.

KETTY GIANSIRACUSA

Voice

Directly from Noto (Sicily) comes to the band a singer with the right amount of madness worthy of a Scooppiata DOC! She has been singing since she was a child and after various experiences in television programs, radio, retirement homes and as a street artist, she arrives in the band to bring a pinch of madness and a breath of lightness.

GIAMMARIO MASCOLO

Piano and Synthesizers

He is the thoughtful element with strong problem-solving skills of the band. A musician of great talent, he studied piano since he was a child and specialized in jazz at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome. He has performed on numerous stages throughout Italy and has recorded with authoritative Italian musicians. For reasons still unknown he decided to play with us and for this we are all grateful to him.

DANIEL PONZIANI

Drums

When Daniele plays, he does it with all of himself, and he really puts his heart and soul into every performance.

Not only a drummer, Daniele can also surprise you as an entertainer/cabaret artist and sound designer and if we are in trouble on stage, we pull him out of the magic hat and leave you at the mercy of his sparkling Roman sympathy. He loves reading everything except solfeggio books, but we love him that way.

ANDREA CURATOLO

Electric Guitar

Co-founder of the project is what you might call "the multi-instrumentalist" of the band. Raised in a family of musicians, he has always dedicated himself to life and musical projects that deal with social issues. For reasons still unknown, he is the only guitarist who lowers the volume during solos, but we love him that way.

PEPPER SALIS

Bass

Founder of the project, he began studying music as a child, in musical bands , but immediately liked to vary between instruments and get his hands on harmonies. In his career he has recorded and performed with many groups far and wide of the peninsula and abroad, collaborating with many musicians.

He is a bass player with many well-hidden virtues, and his brain is in constant motion, which is why his hair said goodbye to him very early.
